Do you represent a European university? Does your institution want to be part of a unique experience that will mark a milestone in the history of Europe? Campus Party Europe in Berlin brings together the best technical talent on this continent to retype Europe’s source code and, to do so; we need all of the support that European universities can provide.
Together with Telefonica O2 and under the patronage of the European Commission we have launched TheBigThink initiative. We are currently seeking the best ideas for the European Digital Agenda. Through this project, 5,000 young European geeks will be invited to attend Campus Party Europe in Berlin completely free of charge.
If you are a European university and you are truly into research and development you have to be involved in the first edition of Campus Party Europe in Berlin.
How can you contribute as a partner university?
We would like to invite your institution to be a part of the largest mobilization of European technical talent in history. To participate, we ask that your university:
+ Create a small group of representatives/teachers/students to lead the selection process of the best submitted ideas.
+ Select the 40 best ideas from your area.
+ Coordinate bus travel arrangements from your university to Berlin.
The European Commission has awarded patronage to Campus Party Europe in Berlin as it is a landmark event that contributes to the objectives of the European Commission. Therefore, we encourage all universities and campuseros to participate in TheBigThink challenge with their #I4DA tweets and at the Campus Party Europe in Berlin festival itself. The patronage is something very exceptional and demonstrates the importance of Campus Party Europe. It should be clear that the patronage does not imply financial support from the Commission. However, if you are participating in an EU project related to the objectives of Campus Party Europe (entrepreneurs, ICT, youth, employment, economic development) and you wonder if your participation to this event would be an eligible cost within that EU project, please contact Campus Party Europe organizers.
