The Program

When will the program be online?
The program is online now!  There are two ways to view it.  Go to www.campus-party.eu and click General Agenda on the left hand side to see the entire program, or click the stage names on the left hand side to see the program for individual stages.

Are you giving out programs at the event?
No, but you’re all online anyway! The timetable will also be displayed at each stage.

Do I need to register for any of the talks or workshops?
No – the stages are all open plan.  It’s a good idea to get there a few minutes early to get a seat.

How do I register for the gaming tournaments?
You’ll be able to do it on-site at the Gaming Stadium, from August 21-22.

Camping

Do I have to share a tent?
Yes, the tents are doubles. As per safety restrictions from the Berlin Fire Department we needed to make the tents double so as to maximise the number of campuseros that could camp.

I’m coming alone, how do I find someone to share a tent?
If you can’t find someone to share with, please email contact@campus-party.eu with the subject "Tent-Mate Request".

Tent Registration Guide
Need help selecting your tent-mate? Download this step-by-step guide.

What things do I need to bring to sleep with?
The tents will be empty – bring whatever you’d like to make you comfortable, whatever you would normally camp with, and whatever you’d like to customise your tent with your own style – bearing in mind, of course, the prohibited items. We suggest a sleeping bag, pillow, and sleeping pad as the floor can be hard.

How cold/warm will it be?
We’re not weathermen! But Berlin’s summer has been pretty unpredictable so we’d suggest coming prepared for different conditions.

Are there powerpoints in the tent?
No, power is supplied in the area for your computers.

Are there showers on site?
Yes, there will be showers.

Are there powerpoints in the bathrooms?
No, there won’t be any powerpoints in the bathrooms.

Do I need to bring a towel?
Yes, we’re not supplying them. Also be sure to bring all toiletries and medication you will need for the week.

Can I bring my own tent or campervan?
No, we’re providing the tents – it’s part of the safety requirements we’ve been given.

Eating

Is there food on-site for purchase?
Yes, there will be a food court-style area for individual meals.

Can I bring my own food?
Yes, you can bring your own food.

Are there shops nearby?
There is a grocery store and a few shops where you can buy food, drinks and so on.

Are there microwaves, refrigerators, kettles and kitchen utensils?
There will be a microwave area, but not refrigetrators, kettles or kitchen utensils.

Computers and Networking

How many computers or devices can I bring?
We’re supplying three security stickers for each campusero that you can place on your devices.  Any more devices you bring will be entirely your own responsibility. Please bring only what you need and bear in mind the below points.

How many powerpoints will I get?
One per person.

How many network access points will I get?
One per person.

Will you supply an ethernet cable or other equipment?
We will provide you with an ethernet cable and an electricity outlet.

Is there WiFi on-site?
No – we would love to provide this but unfortunately it’s impossible for us to give 10,000 campuseros a reliable and satisfactory WiFi connection.  Instead we’re focussing on making the Ethernet connection rock-solid and lightning fast.

Can I bring a (wireless) router?
No.

Security

How will you keep my property safe?
We're happy to say that theft is not a huge problem at Campus Party, but we do try to reduce the risk! We'll supply up to three stickers for your devices that match to your festival badge. People's badges will have to match the equipment they're taking out of the festival, and there are metal detectors and security on-site. You can bring a lock to secure your equipment to your table or to lock your tent if you would like.

Are there lockers or a cloakroom?
Yes, there will be lockers.

Comfort

Is smoking allowed?
Not inside, but there will be a smoking area. You are allowed to bring cigarettes, tobacco and lighters.

Can I bring alcohol?
No.  Campus Party is a festival where people come to learn, create and collaborate. Endorsing alcohol at the festival would not be in the spirit of Campus Party – nor something that would be easy to control with so many people in the venue for six days straight.

What things are prohibited at the event?
+ Alcohol
+ Flammable materials (lighters are allowed)
+ Illegal weapons and drugs
+ Glass bottles
